WHO: Loring Park Art Festival

WHEN: Saturday, August 4 from 10-6 and Sunday, August 5 from 10-5, 2007

WHERE: Oak Grove Street and Hennepin Avenue In Minneapolis in Loring Park. Located across from the Walker Art Center, near the businesses and restaurants of Harmon Place and nearby "Eat Street."

COST: Admission to the festival is FREE and everyone is welcome.

Minneapolis—The Loring Park Art Festival is produced by Artists for Artists LLP, an organization of three experienced artists; Carol Haubner, Pat Parnow, and Mary Ann Wunderlin . This year celebrates the 8th annual event of bringing art to all in one of the cities’ oldest and finest parks.

Festival goers will enjoy two days of art provided by 140 artists that have been juried into the festival to assure high quality artwork in all media. Art at the festival includes; oil painting, watercolors, handmade paper, sculpture, textiles, photography, glass, ceramics, jewelry, mixed-media, wood, printmaking and more. There are a variety of price ranges with the goal being “something for everyone.”

In addition to art, visitors will enjoy family events, food, music and unique entertainment around the walking paths and duck ponds of Loring Park—an idyllic setting for an outdoor art festival.

Family Art Making with the Minneapolis Institute of Arts: Art in the Park

Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 3pm

The Loring Park Art Festival is partnering again with the Minneapolis Institute of Arts who will bring their Art in Parks program to the festival for Family Art Making. Children and their families will enjoy making art with recycled materials, mask-making, face-painting and family entertainment will bring an educational and art-active element to the festival. See the art and enjoy making some too!

Saturday and Sunday from 11:00am – 3:00pm
