Hand-dyed rope bowls - I dye or fabric-wrap cotton rope and sew it into bowls, baskets, placemats and other functional goods with unique and appealing finishings; and braided rugs that I make from up-cycled tee-shirt fabric, that I cut into strips, hand-braid and machine-sew.
My work is inspired by the colors and color combinations I can create using common materials (rope, tee-shirts) in unique ways. The sewing/construction process is the same for both resulting in functional yet decorative products.
